Using MS Outlook for bulk/ mass emailing
Most of us feel the need to send out emails a bunch of people at times - it maybe because of your marketing needs - or a personal need where you want to invite your friends and family to your kids birthday party.
Its quite simple if you follow the following steps.
1. Generate your excel sheet with First Name, Last Name and Email addresses - and their first row with their column name 'First', 'Last' and 'Email' accordingly (not really a must step to follow - but its good to be organized.
2. Open MS Word - and go to "Mailings" ribbon and click the "Start Mail Merge" and then "E-Mail Messages" - see image below:
3. Now type your email compose it the way you want like in word (you may also go to the home ribbon to give you options for text editing).
4. Click on the Finish & Merge menu and select the Send E-Mail Messages option..
5. From the To drop-down menu, select the field containing the email address of each recipient. In the Subject text box, enter the subject line used for the email message. From the Mail format drop-down menu, select the HTML option. For the Send records radio button, select the All option.
6. Click on the OK button to send the messages.
